the knot.

Okay for anyone who is engaged this is the must website for your wedding planning! The Knot is a website where you can get a billion ideas from and they have a bunch of tools to help with your planning. One I have used since I was engaged is the checklist. It tells you everything you need to have been done and when you need it done. Some of the things I might of totally have forgotten about or waited too long to do.

Here is what is on my checklist for 2-3 months:

  • Start a beauty regimen and make appointments at a nearby spa (massages, facials, etc). If you’re considering whitening your teeth, this is the time to do it!
  •  Get all your under-the-dress essentials and any special lingerie in time for your first wedding dress fitting.
  •  Finalize the ceremony song list and ceremony readings with your VIPs (very important extras).
  •  Arrange for all insurance policies to include you and your future spouse: health, auto, homeowner’s, and life insurance.
  • Arrange day-of transportation for you, your wedding party, and guests (as needed).
  •

It also feels awesome to be able to check off the item and see it disappear off your list. All you engaged ladies and even the ones who think they might be getting that ring sometime soon, check it out! 😉

Do you think the Knot is useful for UK brides too? I know the supplier info won’t be, but are there plenty of ideas on there which I could still use over here? 🙂

Have fun with the beauty regime, it’s nice to have an excuse to spoil yourself!
